I remember some time ago someone mentioned the Initiative-boosting aura of bards was not strictly necessary since there is a Dex-modifying aura already. I've just noticed something, though - a Dex-modifying aura will only affect Init if it is active at the start of a combat, whereas an aura strictly modifying Initiative could be effective after the start of combat. Does that make sense?
