Special Abilities

Devour (Su) A mystic monster's tail is a primary touch attack that causes any magical object they touch to become drained The object touched takes half its maximum hp in damage and gains the broken condition—a second hit drains the item completely A Mystic monster never provokes attacks of opportunity by attempting to strike a magic item/weapon or armor with its tail strike Against creatures made of magic, a mystic monster's tail deals 3d6+5 points of damage. An attended object, any magic object, can attempt a DC 15 Reflex save to negate this effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

Scent Magic (Ex) This ability functions much the same as the scent ability, except that the range is 90 feet and the mystic monster can only use it to sense magic (including creatures wearing or carrying magic objects).

Devouring aura: (Ex) Any magic that comes towards the Mystic monster is devoured and heals it for 2d6, giving it nourishment. If a magic item directly hits the mystic monster, it causes it to take the devour (SU) State.

This creature is a creature that lives underground, although it has been known to occasionally come out of the ground in search of nourishment, however this creature's nourishment is not like most, it is in all actuality a creature that survives upon magic. Upon consuming enough, the creature produces eggs, and dies, the eggs hatch upon sensing nourishment nearby. They are effectively adults upon birth. One Mystic monster can birth five eggs.

It is said that these creatures were an experiment of some sort gone drastically wrong, and managed to propagate rapidly, even so, these creatures are rarely seen. Even more horrifying is the fact that they are capable of flight, Upon their back flaps lift, revealing wings that propel them crudely through the air.
