weapon specialist (FFII)
#1
How about a class to represent FFII, Weapon Specialist? They have the option to focus/specialize in 7 weapons and gain improved unarmed strike as a bonus feat at first level or a little later.

I have the Black Company D20 RPG book, it features weapon master class similar to this, I think with some modifications we can have a FFII class representation. I've read some reviews and the class seems rather balanced.

The Fighter already pretty well handles that with some of the Fighter Talents available. It'd be even better had Vil brought over PF's Weapon Training ability of the Fighter but... he decided to go with Chosen Weapon instead. They're still 'good' with pretty much any weapon they pick up, they just don't excel with large groups as the PF fighter was meant to do.

I may do an Archetype that does what the PF fighter does.

Don't get me wrong this wasn't a complain or anything- they're still leagues ahead of the 3.5 Fighter >.> But an Archetype 'Weapon Specialist' could be a fun way to answer this suggestion.

My friend was browsing this site yesterday (he's also a huge FF fan) and had some cool ideas/suggestions.

An agile swordsman type class to represent Tidus, a Zanarkand blitzer? LOL first thing that came to mind.

Holy Dragoon prestiege class
Sword Saint

Court mage
Valkrye
Thaumaturge (Golbez)

You've posted a huge list. I forgot about many of those classes you listed. If you can make archetypes/classes with all you've listed that'd be extremely impressive.
Maybe weapon proficiencies based on Bravely default can help differentiate the archetypes from the classes they're based on?

Ok I'll just stop annoying everyone to death.
