I fucked up. :|

So... I pretty much messed up my forums. I have no backup and I'm really pissed at myself for not researching more. I apologize for my mess up. I'm not sure what I'm going to do at this point. Either try to rebuild the forums or find a forums where I can't mess things up again. If anyone has suggestions for some excellent free forums, let me know. I'm going to bash my head against my keyboard for awhile.

Edit/Update: I actually found a backup. Its over a year old though, but better than nothing at all. Please bear with me as I try to fix the background problem.

WELP.

At least all my initiator archetypes are kept on Google Docs, so I'm not worried about that, but the Cie'th and l'Cie works do hurt.

Don't sweat it, though. Shit happens, and it's just some words, not a family member.

I was a little bit confused when I went to check on a question I'd asked earlier today. xD Ah well, these things happen - best to learn what you can from them, and move forward. (Aphyria here by the way; used a new username since the old one was registered after the current backup, but if you find a way to restore things, didn't want to add conflicting member info to the mess).

http://web.archive.org/web/2016080306545.../index.php Just had a quick check though, this seems to be the most recent snapshot at August 2016, so it may have a few things you can nab to restore/replace where necessary. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll find more (or a way to restore things), but I'm no real expert so that's kind of the limit of my ability to help other than moral support, sorry!

I still feel terrible.

I like the look. the back up was from a year ago, is there a possiblitiy that there is an autoback up on server every so many hours like when windows creates points to restore the computer

I like the look myself. If there was to be any change at all, it would be that the borders of everything were white, and the posts were a gradient blue, at which point everything looks like we're all talking in FFVI.

Not sure what occured (I assume the changing of the layout erased stuff)
but life happens.

I really do enjoy the new look though. Shiny goodness.

I tried updating the forum software and instead, I erased it with a brand new copy. :|
