Stop/Stop Gaze - Nihilarian - 10-08-2013
They're the same level, but Stop Gaze is so much more powerful. Any reason?

New here. Hey
My guess would be because it requires the generous DM to put the group up against a Gazer, and for the Blue Mage to make the check to get it. It's strong, but not every Blue Mage will ever have a chance of learning it.

What malignantmind said. Blue Mage spells are usually more powerful but harder to get.

Plus, you'd have to see it in action. Which will probably mean getting hit with it. I wouldn't want to fail that save.
