a fighter can spend a full-round action to double his number of attacks. He must declare his opponent beforehand and cannot switch targets while he executes his Doublestrike ability.
is this effectively a full attack, but double the attacks, or is it a full round action to prepare, and on the next turn you get double your attacks? I'm pretty sure its the first, but its worded very strangely either way.

Not at all. Just busy with FF14. I usually check the forum a few times a day to answer questions.
