Questions about Knowledge and Gil
#1
I'm about to start a campaign for my friends and one of my players has selected Blue Mage, so I'm trying to find out all the different types of Knowledge skills he'll want to train himself in to be able to learn abilities.

Additionally, what's the recommended conversion rate from the standard copper, silver, gold, platinum to gil?

  • Arcana (dragons, magical beasts)

  • Dungeoneering (aberrations, oozes)

  • Engineering or Technology (constructs)

  • Local (humanoids, monstrous humanoids)

  • Nature (animals, fey, plants, vermin)

  • Planes (outsiders)

  • Religion (undead)
Copper/Silver converts to 1 gil. Gold = 1.5 to 1 gil. 1 platinum = 5 gil.

This is for non-magical items. Magical items are equal to gold for gil.

Could you explain this in a little more detail?

does this affect starting wealth at higher levels in some way? I don't get where this would apply.

Sorry to ask but im Relatively new to FFD20 and am just curious

For basic equipment (non-magical in nature), cost conversation.

Doesn't affect starting wealth.
