So I know to get into time magic I have to spend 20jp but to improve do I spend 10jp every leave or every new spell level (every oher)? The wording is unclear across multiple paragraphs in freelancer

So just to be 1000% clear every time I would gain a SPELL LEVEL I would spend 10jp to upgrade then, instead of spending 10 JP EVERY CASTER LEVEL? the Red mages Armored Mage and the Time mage Quickening are they considered level by level abilities for the JP system?

Yes, spell level.

Red Mage's Armored Mage, yes. Time Mage's Quickening, no.

One more question my apologies. For every "Improve by level" ability I get am I required to improve it?
For example I want both Full time magic and Full sneak attack would that FORCE me to spend 20jp every odd level?

Yes, you are forced to.

If that's the case if I were to take Sneak Attack at level 3 would I be paying 30jp or 20jp? If 20jp would level 3 be the effective level 1 as far as sneak attack is concerned?

20 JP, effective level 1 for Sneak Attack at level 3.

Buying from archtypes, I know I dont have to trade out but if I buy Song of Temporal Disharmony from the Cronodancer archtype of time mage is my spell casting affected or can I still buy regular progression Time magic?

You can still buy regular progression time magic.

How would the ability Song of Temporal Disharmony cost up wise? The 1st part of it increases (reflex and Ac bonuses) as well as the second attack at 11th and overall uses per day.

20 at start, 10 at 11th.

Forgot about that. So..

If purchased at 2nd level = 20 JP
At 7th, 11th, 12th, 17th = 10 JP each.
