What age category are the dragons? Size and stat wise, they look to be ancient, but their caster level suggests that they are great wyrm.

I made these dragons slightly more powerful than their counterparts from pathfinder. I haven't added in an age group yet and I'm not sure I'll add in as many age categories in as they did as well. I have them set to mature adult for red dragons. I might call them just adults in the age categories I add in. I could try to do an extensive version but it might take a lot longer than a week.

If it we're me, I'd only do 6 age categories (Hatchling > Young > Adolescent > Adult > Greater > Elder), with a size bump every age category after Hatchling. Adults would simply be called "*color* Dragon".

I'm working on a class that lets players play and progress as a dragon, and was hoping you could weigh in on it.

I would've done a size increase each age category after wyrmling (which I'd refer to as hatchlings since there's no other mention of wyrms now), making differences in age more apparent, but other than that, it's spot on.

Are you gonna make it so that after defeating an adult dragon, there's a 0.8% chance of dropping a colored tail that you can trade in for Onion gear?

Eternal Darkness(Su)

A black dragon releases the dragon soul within, improving itself or an ally by touch. This ability grants the subject an increase to all physical damage, melee and range, by +1 per three caster levels. It also grants the subject an increase to all magical damage and healing by +1 per three caster levels. Blue mages may learn this ability as a 8th level spell (DC 31).

Manipulate Shadows(Su)
A black dragon can control any shadow spell within 100 feet as a standard action. This ability allows it to move any shadow effect in the area, as if it were the caster. This ability also allows it to reposition a stationary shadow effect, although the new placement must be one allowed by the spell. Finally, for 1 round following the use of this ability, the dragon can control any new shadow spell cast within its are of control, as if it were the caster. It can make all decisions allowed to the caster, including canceling the spell if it so desires.

Manipulate Flames(Su)
A red dragon can control any fire spell within 100 feet as a standard action. This ability allows it to move any fire effect in the area, as if it were the caster. This ability also allows it to reposition a stationary fire effect, although the new placement must be one allowed by the spell. Finally, for 1 round following the use of this ability, the dragon can control any new fire spell cast within its are of control, as if it were the caster. It can make all decisions allowed to the caster, including canceling the spell if it so desires.

Melt Stone(Su)
A red dragon can use its breath weapon to melt rock at a range of 100 feet, affecting a 50-ft.-radius area. The area becomes lava to a depth of 1 foot. Any creature in contact with the lava takes 20d6 points of fire damage on the first round, 10d6 on the second, and none thereafter as the lava hardens and cools. If uses on a wall or ceiling, treat this ability as an avalanche that deals fire damage.

Incinerate(Su)
A red dragon can incinerate creatures in its fiery breath. A creature reduced to fewer than 0 hit points by its breath weapon must make a Fortitude save (using the breath weapon's DC). Failure indicates that the creature is reduced to ash. Creatures destroyed in this way can only be restored to life through true resurrection or similar magic.


Fire Aura(Su)
A red dragon is surrounded by an aura of intense heat. All creatures within 10 feet take 2d6 points of fire damage at the beginning of the dragon's turn.


Manipulate Flames(Su)
A red dragon can control any fire spell within 100 feet as a standard action. This ability allows it to move any fire effect in the area, as if it were the caster. This ability also allows it to reposition a stationary fire effect, although the new placement must be one allowed by the spell. Finally, for 1 round following the use of this ability, the dragon can control any new fire spell cast within its are of control, as if it were the caster. It can make all decisions allowed to the caster, including canceling the spell if it so desires.


Melt Stone(Su)
A red dragon can use its breath weapon to melt rock at a range of 100 feet, affecting a 50-ft.-radius area. The area becomes lava to a depth of 1 foot. Any creature in contact with the lava takes 20d6 points of fire damage on the first round, 10d6 on the second, and none thereafter as the lava hardens and cools. If uses on a wall or ceiling, treat this ability as an avalanche that deals fire damage.

Blizzard(Su)
A white dragon can use its breath weapon to create a blizzard in the area around it as a standard action. This creates heavy snow conditions in a 50-ft.-radius for 1 minutes, centered on the dragon. This snow slow movement (4 squares of movement per square entered) and limits vision as fog does.

Freezing Fog(Sp)
A white dragon can use this ability 3/day. It is similar to an acid fog spell but deals cold damage instead. It also causes a rime of slippy ice to form on any surface the fog touches, creating the effect of a grease spell. The dragon is immune to the grease effect because of its icewalking ability. This ability is the equivalent of a 6th-level spell.

Ice Aura(Su)
A white dragon radiates an aura of ice. All creatures within 10 feet take 2d6 points of ice damage at the beginning of the dragon's turn.

Ice Tomb(Sp)
A white dragon can, as a standard action, cause a creature to sink into ice. This works as imprisionment, but only white the target is touching an icy surface. A white dragon can use this ability 1/day (CL equals dragon's HD). Targets entombed by this ability can be freed by casting Basuna or by physically freeing the creature from the ice (Hardness 0, 360 hit points). The save DC is Charisma-based.

Northern Cross(Su)
Once every 1d4 rounds, a white dragon will summon a 30 ft.-radius blizzard in a select area completely freezing all those who fail their Fortitude save(DC 29). This effect functions as mass icy prison. A white dragon will always start the fight with this ability. Blue mages may learn this ability as a 8th level spell(DC 31).
