What are your favorite classes, just list a few. Archetypes are fine as well as prestige classes.

Mine are:
Blue Mage, Fighter, Red Mage, and Geomancer.

Im putting together a mini mission for my group this weekend, so this thread may give me a few ideas for characters to throw together.

My personal favorites:

Fighter (SOLDIER and Gunblade Spec) Fighter is just good to me can't disappoint.
Dragoon
Holy/Dark Knight

Ive yet to see use of Sword Saint but im pretty sure it will be on my list as well.

I used a sword saint as a bad guy in my party's last session, they are pretty neat.

Dragoon (can't recall any Archetypes really grabbing me)
Red Mage (Generalist or pure)
Engineer (I like the Bombardier/Mako Weapon Specialist/Machinist or any combination of them)

Prestige Classes...
Duelist is niche but fun
Mime is probably one of my favorites hands down
Samurai, I like it on certain builds (Red Mage/Samurai is surprisingly fun)

I really like how Scholar, Red Mage, and Sword Saint are presented, though I haven't actually played them yet. From what I saw in a one-shot I GM'ed tough, Black Mages are crystal cannons.

Ive watched/played Black mage npcs fuck a whole lot of shit up with one good spell. If a GM doesn't want his day wrecked by Black mages you gonna need some resistance.(especially since its gone back to touch)
